Raskin Peter Hosts Road Rules: Surviving the Television Reality Game - Raskin Peter hosted a program called Road Rules: Surviving the Television Reality Game at the Peninsula Hotel in LA on March 13th, 2008. The morning program comprised two panels. The first, moderated by Barbara Rubin, was entitled “Hot Button Issues in Reality Television: Deal Making and International Format Franchising.” This was followed by a panel on “Production Challenges of Reality Shows,” moderated by Jody Simon. Simon moderated a replay of this panel in New York on April 9, 2008
RPRS Hosts a Tell All - RPRS hosted a revealing luncheon featuring Marta Tracy, author of, “Starring You! The Insiders’ Guide to Using Television and Media to Launch Your Brand, Your Business, and Your Life” on August 27, 2007. The luncheon was an expose on the strategies top industry professionals need to succeed on screen. Ms. Tracy understands what television networks are looking for in an individual and graciously shared that knowledge with all luncheon attendees along with signed copies of her book.
Arnold Peter Sits Down to Tea - Arnold Peter participated in the 4th Annual Tea Summit 2007, sponsored by The Themed Entertainment Association. He discussed the art of negotiation at a panel entitled “Getting to Yes without Losing Your Shirt: The Art of Negotiation.” The panel took place March 2nd and 3rd, at the Disneyland Grand Californian Hotel in Anaheim, California.

Arnold Peter Addresses Labor and Employment Law Symposium - Arnold Peter appeared as a panelist at the 27th annual Labor and Employment Law Symposium sponsored by the LA County Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section on March 8th at the Biltmore Hotel. The panel discussed new developments in labor and employment law.
RPRS Co-Hosts Vintage Tasting – RPRS co-hosted a dinner with the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel on February 15th, 2007 at Sam’s by the Beach in Santa Monica. The dinner was the launch of a series of wine dinners for clients and friends of the firm to promote professional and personal relationships in a relaxed and informal environment. The dinner featured winemaker Brian Loring of Loring Wine Company who discussed and poured some of his newly released wines, including some not available to the public. The dinner also included a special pouring of Henriot Blanc de Blanc Champagne, provided by Jeff Nelson, Henriot’s regional director. Samer Ibrahim, the owner of Sam’s by the Beach, welcomed the guests personally and furnished a five course menu customized to match the wine selection.

Jody Simon Faces Reality - Jody Simon moderated in a panel for the American Media and Entertainment Counsel regarding Reality Television at Loyola Law School on January 25th 2007. The panel addressed concerns and questions for anyone involved in programming, producing, or broadcasting reality television. This panel was held again on February 22nd at the HSBC Conference Center in New York.

Rubin, joined by entertainment attorney Daryl Miller and Susan Haber, then Head of Packaging, Alternative Talent and Programming at the Metropolitan Talent Agency, participated in a panel entitled “Access Hollywood: The Business of Entertainment.” The panel discussed the entertainment industry and addressed how consumers have allowed entertainment and media companies to rapidly expand worldwide. Additionally, dinner with the panelists was auctioned off for $17,000.00, which was donated to the eWomens foundation.
